Sathorn Unique Tower in Bangok Thailand Asia
Description
The Sathorn Unique Tower, now mainly known as the Ghost Tower, is a ruined skyscraper in Bangkok, Thailand.
In the course of the economic boom in Thailand, construction of the high-rise began in 1990. The architect and real estate developer Rangsan Torsuwan, who also had the sister high-rise State Tower built at the same time, was in charge. The skyscraper was primarily intended to house residential and office units. Due to the Asian crisis and several legal proceedings, construction was stopped in 1997 because the client ran out of funds. All 49 floors had been completed by then in the shell. With a height of around 185 m, the building is one of the tallest unfinished buildings in the world.
The building is 200 meters from Taksin Bangkok Skytrain Station.
