A Buddhist Temple in Chiang Rai Downtown Thailand Asia

Chiang Rai is a city in northern Thailand in the mountainous province of the same name. The city is near the border with Laos and Myanmar (formerly Burma). Wat Phra Kaew is a royal temple that once housed the emerald jade Buddha (now exhibited as a copy). Nearby is the Navel City Pillar monument in the form of more than 100 Khmer columns. Fah Luang Art & Culture Park is a museum with Lanna artifacts.
