Description

Kanchanaburi is a city in western Thailand. It is best known for the Death Railway, which was built during World War II. This railway line crosses the River Kwai on the bridge of the Death Railway. In the JEATH War Museum, the people who died during the construction of the bridge are honored with photos and paintings. In the Wat Chai Chumphon temple, a huge horse statue pulls a gilded boat. Thousands of Allied soldiers are buried in the Kanchanaburi and Chungkai war cemeteries
