Chinatown in Bangkok is a real experience. Visitors are fascinated by the hustle and bustle, the bright lights and vibrant colours, the pretty Chinese temple, and the huge selection of street food. On a tour through the Chinese quarter of Bangkok, you will get to know the Thai capital from a completely different perspective. Many interesting, sometimes curious, and some of the most beautiful sights in Bangkok await you here, as well as great markets and exceptional food. The best place to start is the famous Yaowarat Road and then drift through Bangkok's Chinatown, immersing yourself in a world full of surprises. Depending on the time of day, you can always experience something different here in the district. A detour is particularly worthwhile in the morning, but also in the evening

Thanon Yaowarat, or better known as Yaowarat Road, is the heart of Chinatown. This approximately 1.5-kilometer-long street begins at Chinatown Gate and ends at Phanuphan Bridge. Colourfull decorated with neon signs and huge Chinese characters, it feels more like Hong Kong than Bangkok. If you want to buy gold in Thailand, you should also head to Yaowarat Road in Chinatown. More than 150 gold dealers have set up shops in this district, so you can find gold jewellery in abundance here.

Yaowarat Road is one of Bangkok's most famous sights and should definitely not be missed on a city trip. The famous main street can actually be visited all day long. If you want to take great photos of Bangkok's Chinatown, it's best to come early in the morning or in the Night Time, when the atmosphere is at its best
